The Finals return to Cleveland.
Amidst all the controversy surrounding the “King’s” return to his hometown, he’s handled himself rather well.
At the start of the season the 4x MVP was surrounded by a star-studded array of talent: Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, and James are the Cavs version of Miami’s BIG Three. LeBron’s exit from Cleveland was blamed on him not having a supporting cast. So Dan Gilbert then went out and got him everything he needed.
Unfortunately, Love is out for the season due to injury; and Irving has been limited due to a knee injury. So, how could LeBron lead this team to the Finals despite not having two-thirds of his Big 3? Simple. He’s the most dominant player in the NBA and arguably one of the greatest players to play the game. He wants this not just for himself, but for the city of Cleveland.
Golden State? Stephen Curry is the most electrifying athlete in the NBA. He’s young and he’s the MVP. Curry has an immense amount of talent. Pure talent. He was born to play this game.
Golden State is by far the most exciting group of players to watch. They attempt a plethora of three-pointers every game, and it has proven to be a successful approach for the Western Conference Champs.
But will it earn them what they want the most?
This matchup is what the world has wanted. It’s what the NBA wanted.
Two hungry cities vie for a chance to hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Every game should go down to the wire.
The question to be answered is: Which team wants it more?
