Which team has played in the NBA Finals the last three years? Easy, the Miami Heat. If you’re not a Heat fan I’m sure you’re tired of seeing the same team succeeding every year. In the media the same popular players are placed under the microscope, boring fans for most of the season (ex. LeBron James). Watching a sport like basketball and knowing the Heat are going to win the Finals every year is not very entertaining. Basketball fans, our prayers have finally been answered.
There’s a new top dog in the Eastern conference; the Indiana Pacers. I’m so delighted to see a new team in the lime light besides the Heat. The Pacers were snubbed from playing on Christmas day (a day where the NBA showcases their best and most popular teams), but they are showing doubters that last season’s seven game bout with the Heat was no fluke.
Indian is an impressive 27-6, a half game leadfor the best record in the NBA over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Paul George has emerged as a bona fide superstar in the NBA this season, averaging a shade under 24 points a game. But can the Pacers actually dethrone the Heat this year and make it to the Finals? Only the future will tell.
