Green Bay Packers offense against the Washington Redskins defense.
Secondary Issues: The Redskins secondary had serious problems in 2012. This year they drafted three rookies to fix the problem; Cornerback, David Amerson and Safeties, Philip Thomas and Baccari Rambo. While the future may be bright for Washington, this week against the Packers may be a baptism by fire.
No Jennings No Problems: Despite the departure of Greg Jennings to Minnesota, the Packers boast one of the strongest receiving cores in the NFL. James Jones was a non-factor last week in San Francisco, but led the league in TD receptions last year, Jordy Nelson is finally healthy and Randall Cobb (Former Kentucky QB) is prime for a break out year. Unfortunately for the Redskins, Aaron Rodgers will have plenty of weapons at his disposal this week and season.
Outlook: The Packers offense is going to shred the Redskins inexperienced secondary. Look for Rodgers, Nelson and Cobb all to have huge games. Aging LB, London Fletcher, will be matched up against a healthy Jermichael Finley, which bodes well for Green Bay. While the Packers claim to be more committed to running in 2013, they quickly abandoned the ground game last week against the 49ers. Rookie RB, Eddie Lacy, is talented but until I see production I don’t trust him to put up big numbers.
