Now that the 2013 NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror, many people are trying to project how their teams will do this fall. There might be a trade here or there, but for the most part, all 32 teams have their key players on their roster right now. As far as top rookies go, there are three to watch, who are going to be able to start from day one and make an impact. Talent is one thing, but also being placed in the right scheme can make a difference as well. Here are three in a perfect situation to affect the fantasy football 2013 season.

Luke Joekel (OT Jacksonville Jaguars)

Many thought that the offensive tackle was the best prospect in the entire draft, so Jacksonville had to be pleased that they had the opportunity to pick him. While one player is not going to turn around the struggling franchise, he has a chance to start and make an impact from their very beginning.

Some see him as more of a left tackle, but Eugene Monroe already has that position locked down. Instead, Joekel will settle into the right tackle position. He will certainly be tested with guys such as JJ Watt and Von Miller on the schedule, but the two tackles could end up playing well off each other and help Jacksonville pick up a few more wins.

Star Lotulelei (DT Carolina Panthers)

Picking 14th, the Carolina Panthers had to be ecstatic when they found out they would have the opportunity to draft the defensive tackle to fit into their 4-3 defense. This is a team that desperately needed a solid player at that position, and Lotulelei has the talent to make an impact right away.

The former Utah star has the power and pass-rushing ability to cause havoc from day one. Carolina is not too far off the playoffs either, so he could be the difference maker.

DeAndre Hopkins (WR Houston Texans)

With no true stars in this year’s draft at the skill positions, many feel that Hopkins has the best chance to put up impressive numbers in his rookie season. He might not be the best wide receiver in the draft, but he falls into a perfect situation in Houston. Starting alongside not only Andre Johnson, but  having Arian Foster in the backfield, will give him a lot of openings. If Matt Schaub can stay healthy, he will be targeting Hopkins early and often.

One of the biggest positives for Hopkins coming out of college is that he is very polished. His potential might not be off the charts, but he is solid enough right now that he can be an impact player for a playoff team right away.
