Good Morning Sports Fans!
I’m back providing my Tuesday Morning Service to the Disciples of The Cold Hard Facts regarding Sports. Here’s an especially heart felt look at the importance of Baseball in our Young People’s lives.
Swing Away!
The Young Peoples Guide to Baseball.
I hope you’ve lived a Memory of a Lifetime last night AND this morning. Most times and I do mean “most”, it comes down to pure luck, that you’ll drive one into the stands. No matter what, no matter how many times you strike out or sail one just outside the foul pole, you swing for the Homerun every time.
Without question I know, swing as hard as you can at every pitch in the Strike Zone. If you give it everything you’ve got, every time, each swing, you will hit more homerun’s, a lot more and when you don’t, you’re going to have only an occasional short slump. Which usually is most welcome because you’ve tired of the dramatics and need a break.
An all night of engaging conversation might be great, if it’s conversation you’re looking for and besides why waste time riding the pine? Someone wants to “get to know you better”, while you’re swinging the lumber in the batters box? HUH? Me, I figure, you “want to get to know me better”? Let’s have at it in the Bullpen.
There’s no moral here. Some might even say it’s an immoral message to compare the intimate act of meeting to Baseball. The guys and gals that feel that way, never get laid. After all, Baseball is and always will be the “National Pastime”.
PLAY BALL!
PLAY BALL!
Yours Truly,
Marcus from College Park
Great article Marcus! Baseball rocks – okay the Orioles are in a slump, but they hae to drive the big homerun to get out of it! Go Chris Davis, my fav 🙂
