1 (4). Lane Johnson (OT Oklahoma)
After Eric Fischer is picked first by the Chiefs, the Eagles select the offensive tackle that best suits their needs. Johnson is a great athlete (as a former QB), who could keep up in a fact-paced up-tempo style offense Philadelphia will run.
The Eagles trade their 2nd round pick (35) and 5th round pick (136) to the Baltimore Ravens for the 32nd overall pick.
1 (32). E.J. Manual (QB FSU)
Manual has infatuated the team throughout this entire process, as he is great athlete with the size to match. With Michael Vick in place for next season, he will be given time to develop and gain a full understanding of a complicated offense. He has all the tools to be a great QB, but needs to focus on consistency to become successful in the NFL.
3 (67). Phillip Thomas (S Fresno State)
Thomas is a playmaker on the back end of the defense, that can make plays in coverage or filling in the box. He can create turnovers with good instincts and decent hands for a Safety, as well as a sure tackler in the open field.
4 (101). Jordan Poyer (CB Oregon State)
Poyer is a physical corner with good size to take on bigger wide outs in the NFL. He can excel in man coverage, with the ability to stay at a receivers hips, while also an adequate tackler in the run game.
The Eagles trade 7th round picks (212) and (218) to the New York Jets for 6th round pick (178).
6 (178). Vinston Painter (OL Virginia Tech)
The Eagles add another athlete along their offensive line, who can play several different positions. Painter provides depth to team that sorely lacked it in 2012, while they also need bodies to keep up with the high octane offense.
7 (239). Theo Riddick (RB/WR Notre Dame)
Riddick adds a multi-dimensional weapon to the offense, who can play in the backfield or split out wide. Chip Kelly will find a way to utilize his strengths and the get the ball in his hands in open space
