Dennis Dixon (QB): Chip Kelly brings in a QB that understands the terminology of the offense and can help the entire core learn the system.  Dixon may end up the starter at the beginning of the season, in a move similar to Andy Reid utilizing Doug Pederson in his first year as a Head Coach.

Andy Levitre (OL): The first order of business will be to fix the offensive line and Levitre is a versatile interior lineman, who fits well into the system and play both Guard and Center. Chip Kelly wants athletes that can get out in space and Levitre has done that throughout his career, first at Oregon and recently with the Bills.

Ed Dickson(TE): Another Oregon guy for this offense, as he is a strong blocker but can open the middle of the field.  Dixon is another athlete to help not in the passing game but in blocking as well.

Eben Britton (OL): Britton has starting experience at Tackle and Guard, and adds veteran depth to the offensive line, something that was not addressed last year.  Britton has the ability to be a good 6th lineman to fill in a number of spots along the line.

Sean Smith (CB): Smith is a big corner who has proven to be very good but struggles with inconsistency.  With the rebuild of a defensive backfield, Smith is a solid addition as a No. 2 corner, who can cover bigger WR’s in the NFC.

Chris Canty (DL): After being released by the Giants, Canty could be a valuable piece to a defense going through a massive overhaul in scheme and personnel.  He has played in both even and odd fronts making him a key depth piece.  Adding Super Bowl experience will also help a young, inexperienced defense.

Ma’ake Kemoatu (DT): Davis will need to add depth along the entire Defensive line, as well as need big bodies to fill an odd front.  Kemoatu can fill a void in the 3-4 as a NT or DT, while also playing DT in a 4-3.

Clark Haggans (OLB): Haggans will be nothing more than a role player and special teamer, but could be a vital piece in developing some of the younger guys into a new scheme.  Haggans carreer in some great 3-4 defenses will help in the transition.

Dashon Goldson (S): Goldson could really cash in during free agency as one of the best safeties in the league.  With the plethora of cap room the Eagles Front Office has held in check, they will be willing to pay top dollar to fill one of their biggest needs.  Goldson is a great tackler and enforcer on the back end, something the Birds have missed since Brian Dawkins was let go.

TRADES:

Eagles trade 1st round pick (4) to the Miami Dolphins for 1st round pick (12), 2nd round pick (56), 4th round pick (110).

Miami has a plethora of picks and will utilize them to replace impending free agent LT Jake Long.  They have found their franchise QB in Tannehill and need to protect him.  With Luke Joekel taken first overall by the Chiefs, Eric Fischer will be a hot commodity, as Miami jumps Detroit and Arizona to pick him up.

Eagles trade Jason Avant and 7th round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for 6th round pick (163) and conditional 6th round pick in 2014

Andy Reid looks to add to his receiver core after Dwayne Bowe leaves in free agency.  Avant understands his offense and is a reliable target in the middle of the field.

Draft

1 (12): Dee Milliner (CB Alabama)– The Eagles get the best corner in the draft by being patient and moving down.  With both DRC and Nnamdi let go, they get the shut-down corner they sorely needed when bringing those two in.

2 (35): Tyler Wilson (QB Arkansas)- Wilson has a similar skill set to Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers, as he has just enough speed to keep a defense honest, yet a big arm.  Wilson played in a form of the Spread, and was a dominant player his junior.  With a year or two to develop, Wilson could become the franchise QB for the Eagles.

2(56): Kyle Long (OL Oregon)- Long is another versatile Offensive lineman, who could develop into a top flight LT with a couple years.  He adds depth for the immediate future, and could be an insurance policy in case Peters cannot make it back.

3 (69): Baccari Rambo (S Georgia)- Rambo is a team captain and sure tackler coming out of the SEC.  He adds leadership, as well as having high potential to become a dominant Safety in the league, with his skill set agains the run and pass.

4 (100): Kwame Geathers (DT Georgia)- Geathers is a natural Nose Tackle in the 3-4 and will be the space eater needed in Monachino’s scheme.

4 (110): Cornelius Washington (OLB Georgia)- Washington will fit in nicely having played the SAM position in college, where his job will be stuff the run first.

5 (131): T.J. McDonald (S USC)- McDonald struggled throughout the year but still has the physical tools to succeed in the NFL.  McDonald continues with the theme of big, strong DB’s that will help against the many massive WR’s in the NFC.

6 (163): Michael Mauti (LB Penn State)- Mauti is not the most physically imposing LB, but is a leader and fits into the 3-4 scheme.

6 (165): Denard Robinson (ATH Michigan)- After his poor performance during the Senior Bowl his stock has dropped, but with his athletic ability, Chip Kelly will try to find a place for him.  He could be a real weapon in gadget plays
