Keys to Ravens Victory Over the Steelers

, ,
On Sunday Night Football, the most anticipated game of the season for the Ravens will be on full display, as they head to hated rival Pittsburgh.  These games are always close between division rivals and even without Ben Roethlisberger, will most likely come down to the last few posessions.  It will be a battle for control of first place in the AFC North and bragging rights until they face each other again in two weeks.
These are the Keys to Victory for the Ravens:
1) Contain receivers’ speed

Denarius Moore and Darius Heyward-Bey both caught touchdowns last week, and stopping Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown will be just as, if not more difficult.

2) Win field position battle

In a physical game that will probably have bad weather, field position is critical. Sam Koch, Justin Tucker and Jacoby Jones have all played like Pro Bowlers thus far. Keep up the good work.

3) Be disciplined and stop the penalties

This is the most hotly contested game of the year and rivalry in the NFL. Don’t be stupid and retaliate just because someone is talking trash or you make a bad play. In a game as close as this one, you can’t afford to just give the other team yardage (and momentum).

4) Protect Flacco

Like any game at home, when Flacco has time to throw, he’s as good as there is. When he’s constantly pressured (like in the game at Houston), he can be a non-factor. He won the game for you in Pittsburgh last year, so you know you can do it. Communicate, stay sound and keep Flacco upright.
